Dishonored is a fairly new game that launched back in 2012. It was well-received by the gaming community and won many accolades over a small period. The game has received a lot of positive reviews from different critic cells. The developers are now considering the development of a brand new sequel for this title, Dishonored 2. However, they have been careful enough to tease out the plot details, characters, release date and many other features of this upcoming title slowly.
For now, most of the fans have been sticking to the different kinds of rumors and speculations that have surfaced on the internet. The first Dishonored title revolved around a bodyguard who was framed for a murder and later turned into an assassin in order to seek revenge on the conspirators.
The story took place in a location called Dunwall. The city of Dunwall was completely based on the 19th-century cities of London and Edinburgh. Dishonored took around three years to be fully developed, with numerous ideas being used and rejected. Gamers are expecting that Dishonored 2 might feature revamped versions of such dropped ideas.
According to various rumors and speculations, Dishonored 2 will take place in a city called Tyvia. It will feature new gaming styles, various new combat styles along with an open-world setting. The new combat styles will include switching between melee weapons, various types of takedowns and newer punching/kicking techniques.
Rumors indicate that Bethesda might try to bring in some ideas from Skyrim, starting with the open-world setting in this upcoming title. These details along with much more have been released to gamers all over the world. The truth behind such rumors is yet to be confirmed. Bethesda and Arkane has not confirmed any of these speculations yet. Dishonored has significantly grown in popularity over the years, and gamers are pining for a sequel to be made.
Even though the requests have been growing tremendously, Bethesda has not made any promises yet. Even then, gamers are quite excited and expecting a release for the next-generation consoles with better graphics and gameplay physics. As of now, no release date has been announced but predictions have been made regarding a 2016 release.
It is being predicted that the developers might release the first review of this game during the E3 event of June, 2015. Bethesda will also make many other major announcements regarding the other titles that they are currently working on.
For now, it is evident that Dishonored 2 will feature much more violence and action than its celebrated predecessor. Gameplay will be more mature compared to the first title. Since the next-gen consoles are currently all the rage in the gaming world, we can certainly expect a release for the PS4 and Xbox One.
