There is plenty of reasons to keep an eye on the reports that are coming from E3 this year and one of them is going to include whether or not Bethesda Softworks decides it is time to bring a new sequel to the market. A sequel to what you might ask? According to sources, the fans have been waiting the longest for another installment to the Fallout series, or even a sequel to Dishonored. Both of which could arrive, or at least be talked about.
Because there is no confirmation about either of the games, the speculation and the buzz surrounding both has grown with each week we are closer to the E3 gaming conference coming up. Dishonored was brought to the market back in 2012 as a stealth action adventure game published by Bethesda Softworks. In October of that year, the game was released for XBox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows. By the time the game was released throughout the world, the popularity was already climbing.
The game won awards for Best Game at the 2013 BAFTA and the Best Action-Adventure Game at the 2012 Spike Video Game awards. Fans of the game are thinking that it is about time that a sequel be produced. Dishonored 2 has been in headlines here and there over the last six months or more, but there has yet to be any sort of hint that the game is coming. Bethesda Softworks is a busy studio that could bring some of the best games to the conference.
The studio has already published Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3, Wolfenstein: The New Order and Dishonored. Some of the most popular games on the market right now, with sequels released to most of them. Why would the company skip making a sequel for the Dishonored series? If the fans have anything to say about it, the company will make the next installment and release it soon, before they forget about it.
The buzz has started to get quite loud due to the fact that Bethesda has already sent out the media “save the date” cards claiming they are ready for their closeup. The date on the card reads, June 14th, 2015. Could this be the day that the company finally announces the next video game in the Dishonored series? Or, will there be a bunch of sad fans by the time the 14th of June comes and goes. Only time will tell and for the fans sake, Dishonored 2 will be the only thing talked about.
