Director Snyder Tweets 12-Second Teaser of ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’

This one is no longer a leak but a real teaser because it came straight from the director of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

One month before the official trailer of the upcoming superhero movie based on DC Comics, Director Zack Snyder has posted on his Twitter social media account a 12-second teaser of the official trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” which shall be released on May 15, attached to the Warner Bros movie “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

The movie will be officially released on March 25, 2016 but to keep fans excited and engaged on the film, Warner Bros will be hosting a special IMAX Trailer Event on April 20 in the US to show the 15-minute clip of the projected first blockbuster of 2016, reports Yahoo! News.

The tickets for the IMAX Trailer Event will be very limited so those who would not be able to take part in the April 20 event can just settle for the in-depth trailer that will come out on May 15 as a preview to “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

Release date confirmation

While Warner Bros has yet to make a confirmation of the release date of the official trailer for “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there have been reports last week that the movie will really come out on May 15, consistent with musical scorer Fred Holkenborg’s tweet.

Warner Bros apparently wants the time frame from May 15 onwards all to itself since releasing the trailer earlier, would have it compete for attention and also comparison with Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which will be showing on May 1.

As early as December last year, there have been reports that the trailer of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has been leaked on the TV bulletin board called 4chan. But it was just for a matter of hours as reports have it that Warner Bros pulled the plug on it even before many people could see it.

Then in January, another leaked trailer of the movie was again posted on 4chan which additionally featured Aquaman, played by Jason Momoa, The Flash, played by Ezra Miller, and Cyborg, played by Ray Fisher.

The leaked trailer

Based on reports of those who were able to see the supposed leaked trailer ahead of the rest, it opened with Superman fighting the Kryptonians amid chaos and destruction in the metropolis as Ben Affleck narrates and says: “The world has changed with the arrival of the Kryptonians.”

It then cuts to the batsuit as Ben Affleck continues to narrate and ask whether Superman is here to save or destroy the planet. And then he says “I’m going to find out.” Then the logo of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” appears.
