Director David Nutter Says Jon Snow is Deader than Dead Amid the Fact that Kit Harrington is Under Contract until the End of Season 6 of Game of Thrones

The production team, the cast members, and the director of the very popular “Game of Thrones” TV series on HBO may now be playing their usual mind games after the successful wrap of Season 5 of the show early last month.

One of the highlights of the series finale of Season 5 was when Jon Snow was brutally stabbed by his brothers in the Night Watch and he was left lying in the snow as if his life was passing before his very eyes as the show draws to a close.

Subsequently, the biggest question for the fans is whether Jon Snow would still manage to survive the ordeal. Two episodes back, he was also cheating death as he was battling the rampaging white walkers overrunning the wildings camp at Hardhome. He was able to survive the onslaught as he and some wildings were able to escape Hardhome onboard boats as they head back to Castle Black.

The key to his survival

Some of the avid fans of the show believes that Jon Snow will be able to survive his ordeal as it was shown in the series finale that Melisandre, the Red Woman in the camp of Stanis Baratheon, went back to Castle Black after Stanis and his troops were defeated and killed by Ramsay Bolton and his men before they can even attack Winterfell.

As a sorceress, Melisandre can surely heal Jon Snow or bring him back to life as she has the power to do that having shown it during the previous seasons.

However, Director David Nutter recently confirmed that Jon Snow is deader than dead. Even Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow in the series, is convinced that his character is already dead. He was even quoted recently telling viewers to follow other good people in the show including Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, or Brienne of Tarth instead.

But according to actress Emilia Clarke, she thinks that Jon Snow has a 50/50 chance of surviving his predicament in the series finale of Season 5 of “Game of Thrones” but she later on said that it was just wishful thinking on her part and that she has no idea what will happen to one of the fan favorite characters in the very popular and widely-followed TV series, notes The Independent.

However, Emilia somehow gave a major hint during a recent interview when she said that if she had to bet, she is giving 50/50 chance to Jon Snow as there are some very helpful people who could bring him back to life, somehow alluding that it could be Melisandre.

Interest on Jon Snow

Carice van Houten, the actress who plays the role of Melisandre in the series, has also hinted that something is going to happen between her and Jon Snow as her character seems to be showing a lot of interest to the Lord Commander of the Night Watch in the last few episodes of Season 5 of “Game of Thrones.”
