Did the Successor to the Motorola Moto G2 Get Leaked? Let’s See

All of this sounds nice, but considering that Motorola are still paying attention to the 2nd generation Moto G, and they’re not only selling it but even offering support for it, we wouldn’t expect to see the new model coming anytime soon. It just wouldn’t make a lot of sense from a marketing standpoint.

Although it is possible that Motorola could be preparing it as a small update to the line. One rumor even claims that it’s going to be more of a replacement rather than a successor, in which case it will keep the same price point while the older device will get phased out.

That doesn’t seem very likely though, and in all likelihood Motorola are likely planning the release of the Moto G’s third generation for some point after the hype around the last device has died down. At this point, it could be a while before that happens, but at least Motorola will have the market covered completely for that time period. As far as the budget market is concerned, anyway.

  1. LTE or forget it. That is why I sent the 4G version back. It seems like AT&T has completely forgotten 3G/4G signals where I live.
