According to Blizzard themselves, it did take some more effort to properly adjust the character to the style of the game, but in the end the developers were able to get it done and they included him in a way that completely matches the rest of the environment in the title.
They even referenced “Lost Vikings” as something that actually took them more effort to pull off, and it’s true that the sidescrolling game probably offered a bit more of a challenge to the developers who were tasked with adding the characters to “Heroes of the Storm”.
Fans should also not worry about the Necromancer’s tendency to spam skeletons all around himself, as that will also be addressed in the implementation of his character, and there won’t be anything to be alarmed about in terms of visual noise or similar issues.
So with all that in mind, it looks like fans of “Heroes of the Storm” have a lot to learn if they want to implement the strategy of both those characters effectively in their own gameplay. Blizzard have been hard at work coming up with balanced features for both the Necromancer and Wizard, and we are curious ourselves to see how well players are going to handle those characters in their own gameplay.
