‘Devious Maids’ Fans Still Hopeful That Show Can Get a Closure in Some Way Despite Cancellation of the TV Series for Season 5!

The first season premiered on June 23, 2013 where maid Flora Hernandez was killed by an unknown person, and the lead character, Professor Marisol Suarez, pretending to be a maid under the alias of Marisol Duarte, investigates the murder after her son was accused of that murder.

The four other central maids of the show are Rosie Falta from Mexico, Puerto Rican singer Carmen Luna, played by Roselyn Sánchez, and senior maid Zoila Diaz, played by Judy Reyes, with her teen daughter Valentina, played by Edy Ganem.

All the five maids are working in the homes of powerful characters, including emotionally unstable wealthy woman Genevieve Delatour, played by Susan Lucci and her son, Remi, played by Drew Van Acker, socialite Evelyn and her husband Adrian Powell, played by Rebecca Wisocky and Tom Irwin, respectively, B-list movie actress Peri Westmore and her husband, daytime soap star Spence Westmore, played by Mariana Klaveno and Grant Show, respectively.

The premiere season of “Devious Maids” also featured newlywed couple Taylor and Michael Stappord, played by Brianna Brown and Brett Cullen, respectively, who worked with Marisol on her case. The season mystery “Who killed Flora?” was answered in the show’s 13th episode and the season ended with a cliffhanger.
