Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Shaping Up as a Solid Entry in Franchise, Fills Gaps from Human Revolution!

It would also be interesting to see how this all leads up to the very first “Deus Ex”, as we’re still in the prequel phase of the storyline. We’re not sure if this game will contain any direct references to the original, but it’s highly likely, especially given the ending of “Human Revolution”.

While some players saw the link between Denton and Jensen as a bit forced, it was still a nice little detail to have in there, which doesn’t have any major impact on the storylines of either games. Still, it worked nicely to draw that critical connection between the titles and make players feel like the story of each individual game is part of something much greater.

There’s about one month to go before the game launches, and anticipation keeps growing stronger and stronger among fans. Right now would be a great time for the developers to maintain the hype levels and keep their players engaged, so hopefully we will see more promotional materials over the next few weeks.

Some have been curious about the intentions of Square Enix for the future of the franchise. We’re not sure ourselves what the company could be planning, but one thing is clear right now – “Deus Ex” still has a lot of potential, and the studio has every right to explore the franchise in detail and see how far they can push it over the next few years.
