Game developer Eidos Montreal and game publisher Square Enix released the cyberpunk-themed action role-playing stealth video game “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on August 23, 2016.
The game is set two years after the events of the previous game entitled “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” released to the PC, the Mac, the PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360 exactly five years ago or on August 23, 2011.
“Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” features the return of Adam Jensen, who was also the previous protagonist in the first game, and he is now equipped with new technology and body augmentations.
Just like its predecessor game, “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” is so exciting and very engrossing to play with that less than a week after the game’s official release date to the PC and the gaming consoles, some of the more ardent gamers and experts are already talking about how to get the best ending in the game.
Final mission involves a terrible choice
In a report by VG 24/7, an expert gamer was able to get into the final mission of the game in London where it sees Adam Jensen faced with a terrible choice.
Adam can run after terrorist leader Marchenko directly and prevent him from detonating explosives planted in buildings that are full of innocent men, women, and children.
Or he can head to save the important political leaders who have the power to stop the anti-augmented policies that are currently being pushed from being poisoned as part again of Marchenko’s plan.
So if the gamer makes the first pick, the political leaders will be poisoned and new policies against discrimination will not be put in place.
If he decides to take the second choice, plenty of innocents will die from Marchenko’s bombs but thousands of augmented could be saved from further discrimination and dehumanization.
It’s really a terrible and tough choice for gamers and some would choose the other over the other instead of not doing anything at all.
But the expert gamer explained that it’s actually possible for gamers to do both and not to have any casualty in the end. The key, according to the expert gamer, is the fact that time is of the essence.
In the first choice, the gamers shall have only 10 minutes within which to apprehend Marchenko and stop him from detonating the bombs on the buildings.
It would also help the gamers if they were able to saved Allison during their second visit to Prague in the early part of the game as they would have earned bomb jammers which would allow themselves to buy more time.
On the other hand, if the gamers choose to save the delegates first, they also have 10 minutes to stop them from drinking the poison. Again, if the gamers were able to bank over the bomb maker in Prague in the early part of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided,” they would have an Orchid antidote to save the delegates from being poisoned.
Incidentally, the gamer expert detailed that he prioritized the delegates and got the best ending with no casualty except Marchenko. He was able to keep Miller alive, both the innocent civilians and the delegates saved, and Marchenko taken down non-lethally.
PC performance problems and framerate drops
PC gamers of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” have been complaining since the release of the game last week that they have been suffering game performance problems and framerate drops playing the game.
The International Business Times enumerated five of the biggest spec changes that impact the performance of the game on the PC and if gamers would be diligent enough, it could actually help them get 60 fps or above in the game.
It is imperative that they turn off the MSAA completely found in the Display Settings menu of “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.” Once it is done, it smoothens the geometry of the game through a complex procedure.
Then, gamers should turn off the contact hardening shadows which helps create more realistic shadows in motion. Once turned off, it gives a sizeable GPU performance boost on the game.
