Gamers that have been waiting for new content for Destiny, might not have to wait much longer. According to an online source, the studio behind the game is planning to reveal at least four new pieces of downloadable content for the game this year. Images showing the downloadable content appeared online this week and apparently show some of what players are going to get. Because the information was just leaked, the odds are very good that the content will be ready very soon.
What is going to be a part of the new downloadable content? According to one online source, the first package that will be available for download is called House of Wolves. That package will come with three story missions, four PvP map, plus new strike and raid missions to play. Later on this year, there will be another package released for purchase and download called Forge of Gods and Vex. That will bring similar types of content to the game.
Even though downloadable content is going to be exciting and always adds a little something to the game, that was not the biggest news that was released. There will be an expansion released at some point called, Comet: Plague of Darkness. The leaked image that showed up online shows that the expansion is going to include 12 missions for the story, 4 strikes, a new raid, 6 new PvP maps and a brand new location to sink your teeth into.
This is all hinging on the fact that the image that was leaked is actually factual. If the rumors are true, fans of the game will be able to see the new Comet DLC sometime in September. There is not a confirmation of the new content from the developer. Just as with any other rumors that you will read online, this one should be taken lightly until there is confirmation. Yes, the leaked image could mean something, but there are plenty of fakes out there that can get the fan base buzzing about new content.
These days, “leaked” images, video or other content is often done to create buzz or is seen as “teaser” content just to get the fans and consumers talking about the game before the release. That could be what is happening here since it is a new year and the first package is expected to be ready for purchase and download on the 10th of March. It looks like the content packs will be giving fans something to talk about the entire year.
