In the height of the “Fantastic Four” fad, Denny’s has decided to line up a new cross-promotional menu inspired by the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie reboot. It was even reported that the Fantastic Four will be coming to Denny’s and they will bring the “Thing Sauce” with them.
This is not the first time Denny’s tried on incorporating a movie on their menu. They previously created the “Hobbit” menu. According to iO9, Denny’s will still implement the wacky and crazy breakfast theme they had with the “Hobbit” menu. The menu will be called, “Slamtastic 4.” Still, their mashups were considered hilariously weird and comic-bookey.
Sue Storm got the “Invisible Woman Slam.” It is a jampacked meal made of eggs, bacon, and fruit pancakes. It looks interesting but it is still considered a bit weird. Maybe this is Denny’s strategy to stand out. Human Torch has his own “Human Torch Skillet” which is made of dotted jalapeños. Ria Misra from iO9 even joked that Denny’s should not even name any of their menu “Human.”
So far, it was considered to be below quality than that of the “Hobbit” menu. Luckily, they still have “The Thing Burger.” It is made of hand-pressed beef patty topped with hash browns, and egg cooked to order, cheddar cheese, two crispy bacon strips, and punch-packing ‘Thing Sauce’ served on a cheddar bun with wavy-cut fries. Everything looks delicious except for the mystery ‘Thing Sauce.’
Denny’s final “Fantastic Four” piece is called “The Doctor Doom Lava Cake.” Generally, all types of lava cakes are delicious. Unfortunately, even this did not impress food critics. They said that Denny’s was not able to provide the rich commitment to the lore of the “Fantastic Four” in the menu.
Huge controversy
Meanwhile, there has been a huge controversy on one of the most popular characters of the movie, The Thing. According to reports, The Thing will be shown in the nude but the catch is he will not have any junk. Movie enthusiasts are not supportive of the idea since Stan Lee did not envision him this way. However, it was also suspected that the production is currently enhancing The Thing’s body suit to make it more real.
The new trailer also impressed the fans since they finally added jokes in the mix. Since the news about the upcoming film, Fox has been very tight-lipped on the details of the production so when the trailer came out, it came as a pleasant surprise knowing that they are going to try and make it less dark. Though the entire aesthetic and theme of the trailer seemed gray, the characters had shown a little bit of humor. The new trailer called “Extraordinary Subjects” featured the lighter side of the movie. This is probably the first time they showed the characters smile.
