The demo for Pokémon Sun and Moon is available for download on the 3DS eShop. It was released mid-morning of 18th October. The demo will give the players a clear glimpse of the different mechanics of Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company aren’t keeping any stones unturned while promoting their new game. Both the companies expect Pokémon Sun and Moon to be successful given the craze over Pokémon GO.
The players were initially worried that developers Game Freak will try and make the game as simple as Pokémon GO, but thankfully that isn’t the case. Pokémon Sun and Moon is as involved as the previous games from the franchise and seems to offer something to both the new and existing fans.
The players start the demo as a character called Sun. Sun gets his Greninja and is taken on a tour of the town and shown how to heal Pokémon and where to buy the potions. The players enter the challenge in Ten Carat Hill. The introduction with the bad guys, Team Skull, follows after that.
The players will get to see the Z-Moves, the Pokémon Snap-style camera and also the Island Trails. They will also get to see the different rewards and goodies that the players will get along the way.
The Snap-style camera is the only example of why the game has used the 3D effect of 3DS. The Snap-style camera can cause a lot of problems since it sends the Pokémon into a rage and the players will have to fight them in turn.
The players who complete the whole 30 minutes long demo will unlock Ash-Greninja. The Ash-Greninja is a special edition Pokémon, which is similar to the one belonging to Ash in the favorite anime Pokémon XYZ. There is provision to transfer Ash-Greninja to the full game along with the other items that they the players have collected in the demo.
The main story of the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo needs to be completed by the players before they can lay their hands on the Ash-Greninja. After the opening cutscene, the players get their Ash-Greninja.
The players need to leave the City Hall and fight the Team Skull Grunts, where their Water Shuriken would battle with the Yungoos. Following which they have to battle their way through the Ten Carat Hall.
At the end of the north cave, Professor Kukui will ask the players to complete the task of finding four Pokémon with the help of a Poke Finder. Once the players find the Trial Pokémon, they will receive a Z-Ring and Z-Crystal Electrium Z for Pikachu.
The final battle in Pokémon Sun and Moon demo involves the Ream Skull Admin Plumeria. The players can use the Z-Move Pikachu to finish the fight.
After the players secure the Ash-Greninja, they can restart the Pokémon Sun and Moon demo to use the Pokémon in the full version of the game.
The demo will take about 45 minutes, and players can initiate other activities once the original gameplay is over.
Forbes reported that Pokémon Sun and Moon had introduced new Pokémon evolutions. Some of them have already been introduced in the new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon, but there are quite a lot of surprises packed in the game.
One of the most sought after revelation is that of Type: Null and its evolution into Silvally. The fans would know that this is a unique Pokémon, based on the chimaera from the Greek mythology.
