More specifically, there are claims that we might see the rules changing due to the increasingly dangerous nature of the show, and there may be more restrictions imposed on dancers in the future in order to preserve them better and prevent future accidents.
We can’t imagine what those rule changes might entail, but we certainly hope that we aren’t going to see the show affected in any negative way due to the accidents that players have been going through.
After all, those performing on the production should be as aware as anyone else of the risks that they are taking, and it’s always been known that this is not one of the safest shows on TV. But on the other hand, that’s also part of its charm and a major reason for many people to follow it.
Some have commented that the first seasons of the show were far less risky than the current ones and we didn’t see people getting hurt so often, but the nature of the production is changing, and its increased popularity of course also means that people are now more willing to take risks and go farther in order to make a good impression on the screen. Sometimes, as we’ve seen, this can easily backfire and we end up seeing people getting hurt for the sake of an exciting performance.
