There have been rumors saying that after the departure of Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler at the end of Season 6 of “Dance Moms,” JoJo Siwa would follow suit to explore other opportunities outside of the hit dance competition reality show on Lifetime.
The speculations further heightened when the 13-year-old young dancer and her mother Jessalynn Siwa were nowhere to be found when production for Season 7 of “Dance Moms” started recently via the Sheer Talent competition in Las Vegas held on September 10, reports the International Business Times.
JoJo was noticeably absent from Abby Lee Miller’s elite junior team and so is her mother who was not with the group photo of the dance moms.
However, it seems that JoJo’s absence was for a good reason as she just mentioned on a recent YouTube upload that she is now staying in Los Angeles where “Dance Moms” is being filmed mostly and shall be on the show for Season 7.
Siwa also said that Season 6 of “Dance Moms” was her favorite season of the show and critics and fans believe that it only means that she is not going away for Season 7, contrary to the speculations.
Not surprising to fans
JoJo’s absence in the recent competition no longer came as a surprise to fans of “Dance Moms” since she has not competed with her teammates on the show since May.
She failed to perform the number “Hotline” with her teammates during the Fierce National Dance Competition but Abby said back then that her absence is because she wanted to have a pool day for herself.
Now that she and her mother are firmly settled on their new LA apartment, it seems unlikely for JoJo to move out of “Dance Moms” although both of them have not confirmed nor denied whether they are indeed leaving the hit show.
Critics believe that such suspense is just being hyped by the producers of “Dance Moms” to build anticipation and enthusiasm to the show’s upcoming seventh season, which will be premiering early next year.
Showing signs of leaving
Also showing signs of leaving “Dance Moms” sooner or later is Kendall Vertes. In fact, there are even reports saying that Kendall might even leave the show ahead of JoJo Siwa.
When asked about her opinion of the legal entanglement that dance leader Abby Lee Miller got herself into, Kendall said she only has one word to describe it and it is no other than ‘karma,’ notes Game & Guide.
Kendall also said that Abby Lee Miller does not really have her life planned out yet because she does not know what she is going to do.
She also expressed disappointment on how Abby Lee Miller handles her music career. She cited that she has been working all summer to release her new album but she has to wait for Abby Lee Miller’s approval for it to be release.
Kendall is disappointed because her co-star like Nia Frazier-Sioux already released several songs during Season 6 of “Dance Moms.”
Meanwhile, the critics of Abby Lee Miller are ganging up on her and are saying that if she does not change her attitude towards her dancers and their respective mothers, the show might find it difficult to get new dancers and lead to the cancellation of the TV series.
It has been reported recently that Abby Lee Miller of the Abby Lee Dance Club (ALDC) has stated that she is determined to find a replacement for Maddie Ziegler to become the next star of “Dance Moms” Season 7.
It could be recalled that Maddie, along with her sister Mackenzie, and their mother Melissa Gisoni, decided to leave the show after the Season 6 finale in order to pursue her acting dreams and the proverbial greener pasture, considering that she is already a big star in her own right.
