‘Dance Moms’ Season 6 Uncertainty Further Heightens with the Absence of Abby Lee Miller in Latest Season 5 Episode

Maybe it was just a statement of sort from the dance leader to seriously get an attention, but Abby Lee Miller was conspicuously absent during the latest episode of Season 5 of the dance competition reality TV series “Dance Moms.”

Or it may have been an offshoot of her recent verbal tussle with Kira Gerard, the mother of Kalani Hilliker, that Abby decided to let her steam off and take a break from an episode of the widely popular show on the Lifetime network.

Although she has been missed, the Reality Tea believes that it was a welcome relief since most of the girls, their mothers, and the fans also deserve a break from Abby’s epic tantrum.

More than her allowing herself to cool down, there might be more to Abby Lee Miller’s absence as there have been previous reports that she has been asking Lifetime for the arrears in the payment of the network to her.

She has also said that she will not start talking with the network about renewing the show for Season 6 if she does not get her dues from Lifetime. That certainly set off speculations that the show will only be good until the end of the current Season 5.

Her absence in the latest episode only heightens the possibility that there would be no more Season 6 for “Dance Moms.”

A great consolation

Assuming speculations are true that “Dance Moms” is now on its final season, the show would be happy and proud to know that two of its popular competitors will actually be going head-to-head for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards for the Choice Dancer category.

Chloe Lukasiak, 14, and 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler will be vying for the award, and both teeners proudly posted their nominations in their respective social media accounts.

Their nominations to the award however no longer came as a surprise to many of the fans of “Dance Moms” since the network has also been campaigning for them among the fans since May, cites the International Business Times.

While Chloe has already left “Dance Moms” in October last year, Maddie Ziegler is one of the prized stars of the reality TV series these days and her career is also on the upswing with a lot of things in store for her up ahead.

Not returning

While the second half of Season 5 of the dance competition reality show “Dance Moms” is still airing on the Lifetime channel, many are already talking about its future for next year. From the initial reports coming along, it seems that Season 6 is quite bleak, or so it now appears.

Not only are some of the fan-favorite girls in the competition like Maddie Ziegler and Nia Frazier Sioux having second thoughts about returning for next season, even host and dance leader Abby Lee Miller is hinting that she will not be talking anything at all about Season 6 until the network settles its arrears to her.

There have been rumors of late that another contestant Kalani is sure to be out of Season 6, if ever there would be one, because of the controversial argument between Abby Lee Miller and Kira Gerard, her mother.

As her mother has gone head-to-head with the temperamental Abby Lee, many are expecting Kalani to say goodbye to the show soon enough or no longer be allowed to come back for Season 6.

But Kira debunked the rumors, saying that the recent spat between her and Abby is not something that will make them leave the show just like that. She disclosed that the fight she had with Abby is about the latter’s comment on her daughter’s weight which she did not take lightly.

  1. My vote for Chole to win because Abby doesn’t have a hand in charge of the music and dance. Abby was so rude and talked down to Chole.

  2. That’s stupid. Why should someone win because someone else was mean to them? The better dancer should win an that’s Mattie. Chloe isn’t as bad a Nia but she’s certainly no Maddie.
