Dance choreographer Cathy Nesbitt-Stein and her daughter Vivi-Anne decided to quit the second half of Season 5 of the American dance competition reality TV show “Dance Moms” on Lifetime apparently because the filming hours for the show run in conflict with her schedules on her Candy Apples Dance Center.
She said that it was a very busy time for her studio at that time that is why she had to quit the show as a matter of business decision. She explained that she also has a business to run and she does not feel comfortable leaving her clientele alone. That’s in addition to the fact that she is also the one producing the show, notes Realty Today.
However, now that she has able to come up with a viable schedule for her dance choreography teaching lessons on her own studio, Cathy expressed her willingness to return to Season 6 of “Dance Moms.”
Nesbitt-Stein said that she would really love to appear on Season 6 of “Dance Moms” in whatever capacity she can contribute to the show because she absolutely enjoyed doing it in Season 5.
She said that if the show producers could do something that the cast members of “Dance Moms” return to her studio to film some of its future episodes, she and her daughter would definitely be interested in participating again.
Cathy also shared that she has a couple of ideas on what she intends to do just in case she is given the green light to return to the show. She recalled that seeing the girls learn their dance but not learning it right or cleaning it up in its entirety, there are a lot of behind-the-scene rehearsals that she really could not do late at night because of her commitment to her own business.
A replacement for Abby Lee Miller?
Because of Nesbitt-Stein’s recent statements about “Dance Moms” coupled with previous reports that dance leader Abby Lee Miller is uncertain to return for Season 6 of the show, there are speculations now going around that Cathy may actually be considered by producers to replace Abby should the latter decide not to return, details Christian Today.
But those are merely speculations at this time as it would seem that the viewers and the critics of the show just put two and two together to come up with such rumor about Cathy possibly replacing Abby.
If the casting call recently made by Lifetime is to be the basis of the casting makeup of “Dance Moms” for Season 6, it seems that Abby Lee Miller would return and still be the dance leader for the girls.
While Nesbitt-Stein expressed doubts on whether Miller would simply allow her to take her spot in “Dance Moms” come the show’s Season 6, she is still very much interested in returning to the TV series in whatever capacity the producers deem appropriate for her.
Still ambiguous
“Dance Moms” executive producer Bryan Stinson has already confirmed Season 6 of the popular TV series on Lifetime when he revealed on his Twitter account that the show is looking for young professional dancers and their moms to join the sixth season.
But Stinson did not say whether the incoming cast would replace those who would no longer be in Season 6 of the show.

Season 5 of “Dance Moms” has finally wrapped up with its season finale on August 18 and the biggest questions from the fans of the popular TV series on Lifetime is who will return and who will leave the show for its Season 6.
It is not unusual for the show to lose its dancer cast members at the end of every season because aside from the girls aging, some of them also become popular and move on to new challenges. There are also cases when their mothers simply have had enough of Abby’s blabbering that they decide to leave the show for good as well.
That’s too bad. She must be paying them or something because she was wildly unpopular. And no offense to her kid but what is wrong with her? The show won’t be watched if Cathy or Abby are still on it. People want to see the cool moms.
She would be worse than Abby and that’s saying a lot. Since Abby’s crybaby flip out in season four, calling the cops for someone pulling her hair after she clearly assaulted Kelly, no one has liked her on the show. Who ever goes on the show next they’ll be her and Melissa’s best friends.
I think there should be another season of Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition. The first 2 seasons were very entertaining and produced 2 ALDC regulars. (Kalani and Jojo) Season 3 could produce at least 2 or 3 great dancers.
