‘Dance Moms’ Season 6 is Going to Happen Amid Skepticisms; Producer also Hints Return of Abby Lee Miller

Despite numerous reports and speculations of skepticisms, Season 6 of the American dance competition reality TV show “Dance Moms” is going to happen as confirmed recently by its executive producer Bryan Stinson.

Stinson revealed through Twitter that “Dance Moms” is now looking for young professional dancers and their moms to join the cast of the sixth season of “Dance Moms,” reports Design & Trend.

But he did not say whether the incoming cast would replace some of those who would no longer be in Season 6 of the show.

There were rumors previously that a number of the young cast members shall no longer return to the show even if it is renewed for Season 6 including Abby Lee Miller, the dance leader herself, the popular Maddie Ziegler, Nia Frazier Sioux, and even Kalani Hilliker.

Confirming Abby’s return

On July 28, Stinson wrote on his Twitter account “Dance Moms” Season 6, accompanying it with an advertisement that revealed the show’s production company, Collins Avenue, is seeking new talents for Season 6, details the International Business Times.

The advertisement also indicated that the producers of the show are casting competitive dancers and their moms for the hit series “Dance Moms.” It also states that the show is looking for dancers 12 years of age or younger to audition and train with “Dance Moms” star coach Abby Lee Miller.

The advertisement pretty much confirmed that Abby Lee Miller, despite her earlier pronouncements that she will not return to the show unless the Lifetime channel has settled its arrears to her, is indeed returning for Season 6 of the show.

Interested dancer-participants however, should be ready and available to film for up to 16 weeks over the next six months. The advertisement further went to say that if parents are ready to take the careers of their kids to the next level and give them the fame and recognition they deserve, “Dance Moms” is the opportunity that they are looking or waiting for. The ad also stated that producers are looking for dancers who feel that they have what it takes to train and compete with Abby.

Another possible reason for Maddie’s non-return

Based on the advertisement of “Dance Moms” from the show producers, they want professional dancers aged 12 years old and below.

Maddie Ziegler is already 12 years old and will be turning 13 on September 30, which is most likely the reason why she no longer wants to return to the show, contrary to rumors and reports that she will focus more on her other preoccupations like doing another TV series, or appearing in more of Sia’s music videos.

It can be recalled that one of the most popular contestants of “Dance Moms” previously was Chloe Lukasiak who left the show in October last year and accordingly, the reason was that of her difference or her mother’s indifference to the ways of Abby Lee Miller.

But Chloe is already 14 years old when she left the show which means that she is already a graduate of “Dance Moms.” And that seems to be the route as well that Maddie Ziegler will take once she finally bids the show goodbye either after Season 5 or just before the start of Season 6 next year.

Recent reports indicate that unless Maddie Ziegler was just going through the motions with all the hype whether the popular dance competition reality TV series on the Lifetime channel will be renewed for Season 6 or not, it looks like she just drove a wedge between herself and dance coach and leader Abby Lee Miller.

dance moms season 5

In her latest statement during a special episode of “Dance Moms” Season 5 that was aired recently featuring her and her mother Melissa Gisoni, Maddie talked about her journey on the show. She also shared her thoughts about former co-star Chloe Lukasiak, who is her competition for the 2015 Teen Choice Awards for the Choice Dancer category.

  1. Maddie neglects to mention that Abby forbade the girls to contact Chloe and forced Chloe to remove all her photos of the other girls. People keep writing articles about some “fight” or “feud” between them, but the quotes and story, used over and over in every article, don’t support that at all. Distance isn’t a feud, and a 14 year old outgrowing a 12 year old friend isn’t anything unusual either. BTW, Chloe had just turned 13 when she left the show (not 14).
