Apparently, Maddie was busy shooting her debut film titled “The Book of Henry” being helmed by “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow.
Episode 8 of “Dance Moms,” aptly titled “Maddie is Back” aired on the Lifetime network on February 23 and saw Ziegler making her return to the Abby Lee Dance Company fresh from her film shooting.
However, instead of being happy that her star student is back, Abby acted as if the return of Maddie meant nothing to her or the show.
In fact, not only Maddie’s mother Melissa Gisoni was shocked, all of the mothers of the young dancers was surprised to see Abby seemingly not at all happy with the return of Maddie.
Some of them deduced that Abby may still be thinking about the fraud charges she is currently facing in court and could face jail time of up to five years or she was just pretending that she is not happy with Maddie’s return but deep inside her, she is gloating over the fact that her favorite student is back on the show.
However, there are also speculations that Abby is actually jealous of Maddie because of the many achievements that the latter has accomplished at such a young age.
