The 10th episode of Season 6 of the American dance competition reality show “Dance Moms” aired on the Lifetime network on March 8 and it became one of the rare occasions in the popular TV series where dance leader Abby Lee Miller seems to get the better of the dance moms.
Aptly-titled “Abby Lee Horror Story,” episode 10 of “Dance Moms” featured the mothers of Maddie Ziegler, JoJo Siwa, Nia Frazier, and Kendall Vertes, hatching a plan to put the dance leader on the edges and on the ropes.
However, their plan sort of backfired when Brynn Rumfallo’s mother, Ashlee, did not participate in the scheme as she was never informed about it so her daughter was the ultimate beneficiary of it all. Abby, later on, instructed her assistant coach Gianna Martello to give the young dancer an exclusive private lesson, details Design & Trend.
The four mothers of the young professional dancers decided to show up late to practice, although their respective daughters did arrive at the Abby Lee Dance Club studio on time.
While they were already around, the four girls were not able to appear on the show just yet without their moms, who later on arrived after a few hours and were wearing their pajamas.
Driving home a point
While it was obvious that Abby Lee Miller initially panicked at the sight of only Brynn Rumfallo was available to do the filming, she had the presence of mind not to waste any more time so she gave Brynn a solo dance number.
When the four moms showed up in their pajamas, they really wanted to drive home a point against Abby for saying previously that she cannot go to work wearing her nightgown.
However, the moms’ plan backfired as instead of being angry and confrontational, Abby simply ignored them and did not even bother to talk with them. The mothers were also outraged when they found out that only Brynn Rumfallo was given a private lesson by Martello.
So the four mothers shifted their attention on Ashlee for not being one with them. But it was obvious that it was not Ashlee’s fault as she has never been privy to the plan.
In fact, early in the episode, Ashlee was quoted as saying that she is not really a part of the team because the other mothers do not wish to include her in their circle.
Shutting them down
However, knowing Abby, she will simply not take the act sitting down so she eventually confronted the four mothers and shut them all down, details the Entertainment Weekly.
When everything is forgotten, Maddie is back on top and Abby announced that there will be three solos featuring Maddie, Brynn, and Kendall, who did themed dances representing women who were associated with infamous crimes in L.A.
Brynn danced for Black Dahlia, Kendall for Natalie Wood, and Maddie for Lizzie Borden. The three solo performances only solidified how amazing Maddie is as a total performer as well as how excellent Brynn is as a dancer.
The problem with Brynn is that she has the same facial expression, a blank one at that, whether she is performing something funny, horrifying, sad, or whatever emotion should be projected out there.
Kendall Vertes is also a remarkable dancer but she seems to be very unhappy with what she is doing that it is clearly showing on the stage.
Maddie is an altogether different story as from the minute she steps on the stage, she already blows spectators away. She is such a magnificent dancer and she also plays her role so well on stage.
Ziegler is the main dish of “Dance Moms” and there is nothing like her on the show so thinking that there would be someone after her would be a good idea if the show plans to stay long on the air. Unfortunately, no one comes close to the level of the dancing talents of Maddie.
Maddie Ziegler only returned during the eighth episode of Season 6 of “Dance Moms.”
There have been reports that the reason why dance leader Abby Lee Miller was getting irritated or annoyed during the first few episodes of Season 6 of “Dance Moms” is because her star student Maddie has yet to film an episode for the show.
