Dance Moms Season 6 Confirmed but Abby Lee Miller’s Return Remains Ambiguous!

American dance competition reality show “Dance Moms” executive producer Bryan Stinson has already confirmed Season 6 of the popular TV series on Lifetime when he revealed on his Twitter account late in July that the show is looking for young professional dancers and their moms to join the sixth season.

But Stinson did not say whether the incoming cast would replace those who would no longer be in Season 6 of the show.

Season 5 of “Dance Moms” has finally wrapped up with its season finale on August 18 and the biggest questions from the fans of the popular TV series on Lifetime is who will return and who will leave the show for its Season 6.

It is not unusual for the show to lose its dancer cast members at the end of every season because aside from the girls aging, some of them also become popular and move on to new challenges. There are also cases when their mothers simply have had enough of Abby Lee Miller’s blabbering that they decide to leave the show for good as well.

Bustle notes that two seasons ago, after a falling out with Abby Lee Miller, sisters Paige and Brooke Hyland left the series with their mother Kelly. Chloe Lukasiak and her mother Christi also left “Dance Moms” to join another studio at the end of Season 4.

However, the return of dance leader Abby Lee Miller remains ambiguous following her statements made during the reunion episode of “Dance Moms” shown recently.

Returning and leaving

It is likely that Season’s 5 guest dancers will evolve to become regulars in the show for Season 6 of “Dance Moms” and it is expected that most of the current cast members will stick around too.

Despite rumors of packing their bags after Season 5, Nia Frazier and her mother Holly will return. Also expected to be back are Jojo and her mother Jessalyn Siwa, Kalani Hilliker and her mom Kira Gerard, as well as Kendall and her mother Jill Vertes.

But Maddie Ziegler might find it difficult to return because of her booming acting and modelling career. Even if her sister Mackenzie is asked to return for the show’s Season 6, her mother Melissa might find it difficult to play the doting parent that she is when her two daughters are apart. As such, if Maddie does not return for the next season of “Dance Moms,” Mackenzie will not likely to be back as well.

A show with a new dance leader?

If the latest hints or statements from dance leader Abby Lee Miller is to be considered, it seems like “Dance Moms” will have to find a new dance leader for Season 6.

Her comments during the reunion show of Season 5 only fuelled rumors that she may no longer be back to lead her junior elite team to victory, notes Starcasm.

When asked by reunion host Jeff Collins if she will be around in summer to take her elite junior team to victory, Abby said that she will be travelling to Panama, Ireland, Dubai and other parts of the world for a long-sought vacation.

Abby added that she was planning on retiring few years back, but that did not happen. She admitted that she and the junior elite team had an amazing run but when the members start turning into teens, that is where the journey ends for her and another journey begins.

The dance leader quipped that it is best to go out while they’re on top which seems to be what she’s planning to do.

However, if the tweet of show producer Bryan Stinson on July 28 is to be the basis of Abby’s status for Season 6, it appears that the dance leader will be back.
