Dana White Offers Mayweather and McGregor $25mn Each for A Fight, He Reveals That McGregor Doesn’t Need Floyd to Sell Pay-Per-Views

Mayweather deserves his due credit for having the biggest selling fight of all time, but White says that Pacquiao is an equal partner and also, there was no other opponent who could have pushed the numbers to such enormous heights. She explained that the thing is Manny ended up doing that fight, and all we hear is numbers being thrown around.

The final figures were like Mayweather got $250 million, and Manny got 100 million dollars. The money was great for both guys, but it would never be a big fight if Manny Pacquiao weren’t involved in it. She further pointed out that Mayweather’s fight against Berto was mainly considered to be a flop by PPV standards as he would frequently draw during the last few years of his career.

His fight with Berto earned him around 350,000-500,000 PPVs which still leads to a hefty payday, but that’s nowhere near what he earned for his earlier fights.

Compared to that, McGregor’s last two fights with Alvarez and Diaz sold 1.3m and 1.5m PPVs each. McGregor loves to fight, and he is one of them who will take on pretty much anyone.
