Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid Teammates to Don New Kit Next Season

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Real Madrid teammates will be donning a new kit next season if reports are true that the team is planning to wear new uniforms.

The Daily Mail got the report from a website called Purelyfootball.com, which showed an image of the home and away shirts of Real Madrid. The home shirt features grey trim while the away kit is all grey, which is in stark contrast to this season’s pink shirt.

Real Madrid is still running second behind the Lionel Messi-led Barcelona in La Liga BBVA and it does not helped that they were held to nil by Atletico Madrid on April 14 showing how Atletico’s impregnable defense can stop even the world’s best football player. While Gareth Bale had a clear shot in scoring a goal in the first half, he nonetheless missed and sort of worried that all the blame fingers will point at him.

It’s really surprising that Real Madrid was blanked by Atletico Madrid considering that less than two weeks ago, it scored a superb 9-1 victory over Granada at the Santiago Bernabeau. The victory highlighted how prolific Real Madrid is in scoring against Spanish teams.

Ronaldo made the highlight of that game by making that historic five-point explosion in an eight-minute hat-trick where the Real Madrid forward scored three goals right on the first half, which already put the game away for good long before the second half even started.

A prolific scorer against Spanish teams

In fact, because of his latest remarkable scoring output against Granada on April 5, a report even chronicled how the Portuguese football superstar loves to make goals against teams in the La Liga.

Ronald0’s scintillating scoring records against Spanish teams includes some of his most game-dominating performances in his career.

With his latest performance against Granada, he has already scored 11 goals in 8 matches against the team.

Ronaldo’s record of 18 goals in 12 matches against Sevilla is also very overpowering as if the team defence gets terrified every time he is in the field. It was also in Sevilla where he pulled a classic hat-trick back in May 2011 where he scored four goals in a span of 12 minutes.

Ronaldo’s performance against Getafe is also quite superb, netting 15 goals in 9 matches, against Celta Vigo, 12 goals in six matches, 14 goals in 12 matches against Atletico Bilbao, and 12 goals in 11 matches against Levante.

For the stronger teams, he is faring well in terms of scoring. Ronaldo has 13 goals in 13 matches against Malaga, has 11 goals in 13 matches against Villareal, and 15 goals in 20 matches against Atletico Madrid.

But for Real Madrid’s nemesis Barcelona, which seems to know how to defend him, Ronaldo has scored only 15 goals in 26 matches, including the lone point he scored during their recent Sunday Classico match.

Biggest blow

After the game against Granada, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelloti said that he could not ask for anything more on his prized superstar.

For Granada manager, Abel Resino, the resounding defeat against the hands of the Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo was the biggest blow he has ever tasted either as a player or as a coach.

The 9-1 victory over Granada also went down on record as Real Madrid’s best scoring output in 47 years as its biggest league victory is still the memorable 11-2 beating of Elche back in 1960.
