Hotch was quoted as saying that he wants her to take some time off, at least a week. He also said that it is not a request before walking away. Accordingly, that would be the last to be heard or seen from Hotch because he would be detailed by the FBI to some post or assignment.
It has been previously reported that the show will have a creative way for the exit of Thomas Gibson’s character but it seems that did not happen, at least as far as the second episode is concerned.
A few weeks ago, actor Thomas Gibson also opened up about his firing from the long-running CBS crime drama.
In an interview, he said that they were shooting a scene late one night when he went to Virgil and told him that there was a line that he thought contradicted an earlier line. But Virgil told him that it is necessary that Hotch has to absolutely have and say it.
He said that Virgil came into the room and started coming towards him. As the writer-producer brushed past him, he said that his foot came up and tapped him on the leg.
He explained that if he had not moved, Virgil would have run into him. Subsequently, they had some choice words for which he apologized the next day.
