During the second episode, a Los Angeles bus is attacked with sarin gas and the BAU team worked on immediately apprehending the culprit, lest they face a much larger incident that is sure to cost more people’s lives.
Just like its premiere episode, “The Witness” went on to become yet another epic in the widely-followed and popular TV series because it had its usual surprising twists and turns that blended well with the riveting and suspenseful action scenes.
Guest stars for the second episode included Tim Kang of “The Mentalist” as medical supply worker Charlie Senerak, and Marisol Nichols of “Teen Wolf” as FBI Agent Natalie Colefax.
Nichols came to help the BAU to help prevent another devastating attack in L.A., the first of which already killed 10 people.
The BAU team eventually discovers a time release device that is being used by the criminal element in dispersing the gas. The suspect apparently walked into a building with a suspicious bag in his hand and the team worked on evacuating the whole building before the gas leaks out.
It’s a thrill-a-minute episode just like its premiere, and Dr. Spencer Reid, played by Matthew Gray Gubler, was right on cue on the episode’s teaser trailer with the kind of threat that the suspect brings, which is death within minutes.
