Episode 11 of Season 11 of the American police procedural drama TV series “Criminal Minds,” will make its premiere on CBS on January 13 after its winter break and it shall feature the showdown between Dr. Spencer Reid, played by Matthew Gray Gubler, and his date Cat Adams, played by Aubrey Plaza.
The upcoming episode is titled “Entropy,” but for some reasons, there have not been so many details about episode 11 from CBS. Instead, the network released the synopsis for episode 12, titled “Drive” to be aired on January 20, notes Cartermatt.
The synopsis of “Drive” hinted that bodies shall be discovered in public places all over Boston, and the BAU team will come to investigate whether it is the taxi or the ride-share service that the victims used before their deaths could lead to the identity of the UnSub.
Agent Aaron Hotchner, played by Thomas Gibson, and a team of BAU agents, will head back to Boston to probe the series of mysterious deaths.
Dr. Tara Lewis set to return
In addition, Dr. Tara Lewis, played by Aisha Tyler, is set to return on the January 20 episode of “Criminal Minds” as her insights on the upcoming case would be most helpful for the BAU team.
Reports have it that Dr. Lewis will be joining the BAU team in their work in Boston, notes the Christian Post.
That would sure to excite fans of the show since the recurring appearances of Dr. Tara Lewis on “Criminal Minds” have been a welcome sight for viewers because Aisha Tyler has been giving them more than what they expected.
In fact, fans are hoping that episode 12 will lead to many other appearances coming up in February for Dr. Tara Lewis. The month is a big time for TV programming, and with “Survivor” also returning next month, “Criminal Minds” is bound to deliver great stories with Dr. Lewis on it.
Show’s spinoff
Meanwhile, the spin-off TV series of “Criminal Minds” titled “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” is set to air on March 2 and shall take the time slot right after the parent show.
“Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” will star Gary Sinise as Jack Garrett, Daniel Henney as Matt Simmons, Tyler James Williams as Russ ‘Monty’ Montgomery, and Annie Funke as Mae Jarvis.
Contrary to previous reports or rumors that “Criminal Minds” will put a wrap or at least give a major focus on the whereabouts of the group of hitmen known as The Dirty Dozen before it takes on its customary winter break, nothing of that sort happened during its midseason finale that aired on December 9.
Episode 10, titled “Future Perfect,” showed very little storyline progress about The Dirty Dozen except for showing Penelope Garcia, played by Kirsten Simone Vangsness whiling her time away in the modified witness protection program by playing poker with David Rossi, played by Joe Mantegna.
The problem is, not even a game of poker with Rossi for fuzzy pencils and cigars can distract Garcia from why she is in the program.
Rossi tried to assure her that everything will be back to normal. Garcia also feels the same although she admit that she is scared that she would be stuck at the BAU like she is now because of the threat on her life.
Rossi also assured her that the BAU will take The Dirty Dozen down and that she can do her part by staying strong.
However, the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel for Garcia on her quest to extinguish the threat from The Dirty Dozen suddenly loomed when Agent Aaron Hotchner showed up in her quarters at the FBI.
She immediately sensed the urgency in Hotch’s voice that she came with him without even changing out of her pajamas. Apparently, it is about a major breakthrough on The Dirty Dozen case and that the BAU may have found a way to bring the whole network down.
Thus, it is likely that the rumored wrap or full details on The Dirty Dozen would happen towards the second half of Season 11 of “Criminal Minds.”
