‘Criminal Minds’ Season 10 Wraps Up on May 6 as Season 11 Still Remains Uncertain

With two episodes remaining, the American police-procedural television series “Criminal Minds” will wrap up on May 6 with its 23rd episode for the current Season 10.

Last year, even before the end of Season 9, the show was already renewed for Season 10. As early as March 13, 2014, “Criminal Minds” Season 10 was officially confirmed on CBS and the decision came with the announcement that Jennifer Love Hewitt will be joining the show as an undercover agent to join the Behavioural Analysis Unit (BAU).

Early this month, “Criminal Minds” Season 10 executive producer Erica Messer says that she is hopeful that the TV series will be renewed for Season 11, citing that six actors of the show are already up for contract negotiations.

She also said that the show’s spinoff series “Beyond Borders” will get a series pick-up in the coming weeks.

Messer also explained that if “Criminal Minds” Season 10 gets the green light from CBS, the show plans to explore Reid’s love life.

As early as late in January, Messer has been teasing that there are already plans for Season 11 of “Criminal Minds” even though there is no official decision yet from CBS, details Renew Cancel TV.

In terms of ratings, “Criminal Minds” Season 10 is posting an average of over 10 million viewers per episode so it is still a wonder why CBS has not renewed the show just yet. It could be that the network is looking more on the better potentials of the new spinoff series more than the original show.
