Another minor rumor that has popped up recently with regards to the charging capabilities of the iPhone 8 is a possible portable charging device, although the exact details of how that would work remain a subject of arguments.
A patent by the company could shed some light on how they’re planning to go about that, but on the other hand, fans should not put too much trust in patent applications either. There are lots of cases where a company has applied for a certain patent but never used it for anything, and Apple are especially known for that.
It’s also important to remember that it’s a bit too early for any substantial iPhone 8 rumors, and it will probably take a while for information to surface properly. As we pointed out above, it’s in Apple’s style to keep things hidden from their fans too, so it’s very unlikely that we’re going to see anything interesting revealed now.
