Disney officially announced “Frozen 2” during a shareholders’ meeting in March and the animated film is due to hit theaters in 2018 still.
“Frozen” is a certified money-maker. It has raked in a worldwide box-office haul of $1.27 billion and another $308 million in the US alone from home entertainment.
That amount is staggering considering that the movie has been illegally downloaded 30 million times in 2014.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, after making the official announcement about “Frozen 2” in March, also confirmed that much of the characters in the first movie will return to the sequel to be led of course by Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.
The sequel’s plot is something that millions of fans of “Frozen” the world over should really be excited about especially when they got word that most of the old characters will be back to Arendelle along with some new ones.
If Frozen 2 has Hans as the love of Elsa, then Disney is full of idiots. Really… We want our daughters to think that someone can a use and abuse, and almost kill a girl… But we can all forgive and forget???? This is a terrible message!!!!
Never heard about redemption and forgiveness??
No! I think so cool!
Well, I must said I’m not agree at all about the Olaf thing… I know is moraly ok but I like Olaf the way he is… the bond betwen Elsa and Anna, besides he’s so cute and funny, changing him into a human will be bleh…
Now, Hans… I do agree he was just too cruel that it results unrealistic to make him good. But, he’s background story is very very interesting to look up, and the fact about the mirror just make me curious if he was under a curse or something… that being an acceptable justification for his behavior. And another thing that will make his redemption credible is if he do the opposite of what he was going to do to Elsa, now putting his life in danger or almost die in the atempt to protect her, then I could said he has been redeemed. However… I doubt about this since Disney never has put an ex-villain with a hero/princess, it’s not their style and it looks too mature and deep for children but for me it would be interesting and I would be capable to understand. Personally, I really want Hans being that nice guy and at the same time I like the villain he is… I’m so confused…!! I think Hans with Elsa would be controversial and maybe Frozen franchise will be cursed by parents… but if things are made ok, the writing about his redemption, forgivness and sacrifice, to make it realistic and not forced, maybe I wouldn’t feel guilty for liking him with Elsa, since I really like Elsa’s character, her way to be and thinking, I prefer her without any man or creature… why not a single female queen? A strong and great leader… being single is not bad like most peolpe portray it. Finally, If I have to choose I will give Hans a chance just because there are valid elements to write about him changing; the mirror stuff and family drama. If Angelina’s Maleficent found forgiveness after she cursed an inocent baby Aurora…why not Hans too?
That’s just my opinion. Disney is the word.
