Continuum Season 4 is going to be starting up again on July 26th and will be the final season of the show. Continuum is a science fiction show from Canada and was created by Simon Barry. The show is based in the future, 2077 and is based on a group of rebels who travel in time to Vancouver, B.C. as it was in 2012. Barry said in an interview that he would have enough story line for 7 to 10 seasons.
That is too bad since the show was renewed for its fourth and final season on December of last year. Since the third season of Continuum ended last year, fans have been waiting to hear if the show was going to be back, so this is good news for them. The bad news is that it will be the final season, but all good things must come to an end, right? Even though it will be the last season, sources posting online revealed that there will be some new actors in major roles on the show.
The team that goes back in time to 2012 includes Kyra Zagorsky, Michael Eklund, Ty Olsson, Aleks Paunovic, Lisa Berry and Garfield Wilson. It is good to see that those that were in the last part of season three will be coming back for the final season. That sort of thing always keeps the story line going the right direction and keep fans happy as well.
In a recent video that was posted on the show’s official Facebook page, Rachel Nichols and Erik Knudson are shown and she is saying “First shot of the day of the last season of Continuum. Scene 17. Take 1.” As soon as that was posted, fans started buzzing all over the internet and Twitter as well. Nichols also took to her personal Twitter account to make the announcement about the last season trying to get fans hyped about it.
According to a senior vice president at Shaw Media, fans are going to enjoy how the show comes to and end. He said that the show has had plenty of success on Showcase and that is a testament to the quality of Canadian productions. Since Barry is around as the executive producer for the final season, it would be easy to say that the final season will be delivering a “heroic conclusion” to the popular sci-fi series. Continuum Season 4 will be shown on the SyFy channel for those watching in the United States.
