The science-fiction drama TV series “Continuum” will have its fourth and final season this year and it would be premiering on Showcase TV on July 26.
Lead star Rachel Nichols, who plays the lead character Kiera Cameron in the TV series is glad that “Continuum” is coming back with new episodes to give the series a proper finish, notes Enstarz.
She was quoted as saying that all great stories deserve an end. The actress added that she was excited and grateful to be given the opportunity to finish “Continuum” with a riveting conclusion that the series truly deserves.
Nichols said that Season 4 is dedicated to the devoted fans of “Continuum” who have been loyally supportive of the series since the first day.
The future for “Continuum”
Even before the TV show begins airing its fourth and final season, there are already reports going around that the sci-fi series might be turn into a graphic novel in the future.
The news actually came out straight from the Twitter page of “Continuum” when it posted a potential cover for a comic book showing Kiera in an animated form.
The image had the caption saying retweet if you want “Continuum” comic book series, implying that there is indeed a possibility that the show might become a graphic novel eventually.
Naturally, fans of “Continuum” were thrilled almost to no end with the possible development or evolution of their favorite show. A number of them find the news awesome and would really love the idea to become a reality someday.
Since the image has been posted a few days ago, the post has generated more than 100 re-tweets and if the people behind “Continuum” are true to its pronouncement on Twitter, it could be possible that a “Continuum” comic book series would see the light of day in the near future.
Season 4 storyline
Season 4 of “Continuum” will focus on the exploits of Kiera Cameron as she travels through time from 2077 to 2012 with a group of terrorists and works on finding her way back home.
While Barry previously disclosed that he is looking at seven to 10 seasons to complete the entire story of “Continuum,” Showtime did not buy his reasoning, apparently because of the not-so-favorable results of TV ratings during the past two seasons of the series.
While there has been no detail as far as the sub-plot of Season 4 of “Continuum” is concerned, the good news is that fans are already looking forward to its official airing in July.
