As a matter of fact, immediately after the guesting stint of Matt Ryan on “Arrow” as John Constantine, “Constantine” executive producer Daniel Cerone relayed that a second petition on Change.org seeking the revival of Season 2 of “Constantine” has already garnered 20,000 signatures.
Cerone helped organize the fans when the show began to struggle but he also had to keep a pretty realistic world view about the whole thing, details Den of Geek.
The first petition was started last year a few weeks after NBC announced the cancellation of Season 2 of the TV series, which actually generated a lot of support from fans. But apparently, it fell on deaf ears.
“Constantine” actually showed a great promise in its first season and it was difficult to imagine a perfect John Constantine than Welsh actor Matt Ryan.
Incidentally, in order to give fans a closure of “Constantine” on NBC after its Season 1 finale episode left a huge cliffhanger, Cerone released the original script of episode 14 of the TV show on his Twitter account late last year.
Cerone’s script came out about a week before John Constantine is set to make a guest appearance on episode 5 of Season 4 “Arrow” that aired on The CW on November 4.
The executive producer actually urged fans of “Constantine” to watch the “Arrow” episode in the hopes that the TV show could continue on another network in the not-too-distant future.
