This seems imminent in light of reports that Warner Bros has reportedly tried to acquire the rights to the TV series.
Critics really believe that “Constantine” becoming available on CW Seed is a sign that it will have its own connection via a Season 2 on The CW or at the very least, guest appearances of Matt Hardy as John Constantine on any of the four TV series based on DC Comics airing on the network.
If and when “Constantine” is rescued from cancellation and airs its Season 2, it would still come back with Matt Hardy in the lead role. Ryan is reportedly filming the 1940 series “The Halcyon” in the UK, which is an eight-part drama series.
But he would sure be happy to be given the opportunity to play John Constantine again any day of the week, maybe twice on Sundays.
However, fans of “Constantine” should not just get their hopes up yet until The CW President Mark Pedowitz makes the confirmation sometime in the near future.
Practically all of the TV series based on DC Comics are doing well in the ratings so it was rather surprising that it was not the same for “Constantine” when its first season aired on NBC.
