Unfortunately for the fans, NBC canceled the TV series after Season 1 leaving a major cliffhanger for “Constantine” with no answer in sight.
The possibility of “Constantine” being revived on The CW seems very high at this point since the network is already home to at least five TV series based on DC Comics. These are “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “iZombie.”
Certainly, there is room for more and “Constantine” happens to be one TV show which has a solid fan base plus the fact that it is also based on DC Comics.
Fans took it as a sign that The CW will likely host “Constantine” Season 2. The network has yet to reveal any sort of plan for the show, though.
Another indication that Season 2 of “Constantine” may just be around the corner started heating up when Warner Bros released the DVD and Blu-Ray version of Season 1 of “Constantine” in October.
Even after NBC canceled “Constantine,” John Constantine, played by Welsh actor Matt Ryan, still appeared in an episode of “Arrow” last year. Back then, fans believe that it would not be the last cameo appearance for the Hellblazer.
Reports have it that Matt Ryan as John Constantine will have a couple of cameo roles for the TV series “Legends of Tomorrow.”
