The latest reports have confirmed that Matt Ryan shall once again appear in at least an episode of the American superhero ensemble drama TV series “Legends of Tomorrow” for its Season 2 on The CW, the same way he did for an episode of “Arrow” Season 4 last year also on the same network.
Meanwhile, NBC canceled “Constantine” in February last year even with a major Season 1 cliffhanger, reportedly because of negative ratings.
Cerone confirmed that as of end-July this year, there are still no talks going on with the producers and network executives of The CW for the rumored revival of “Constantine” for Season 2, reports the Christian Times.
He, however, hinted that it is very likely that The CW was simply priming Matt Ryan to once again reprise his role as John Constantine in at least one of the superhero TV series that shall be airing on the network.
As it is, there are four superhero TV shows that shall be airing on The CW beginning this fall including the Season 5 of “Arrow,” Season 3 of “The Flash,” Season 2 of “Supergirl” after airing its Season 1 in CBS, and Season 2 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”
Interestingly, all four superhero TV shows are based on DC Comics. “Constantine” is also a TV series based on DC Comics so the rumors about the show’s revival for Season 2 on The CW actually have good legs to stand on.
