Last but not least, right around Halloween, we’re going to get a skeleton-themed Legendary card as the final new addition to the gameplay for the time being. The new card will summon skeletons anywhere on the map for a certain duration, similar to the Tombstone but in a spell format.
Supercell got a lot of criticism for the direction “Clash Royale” was moving in recently, but it seems like they are listening to their community and are determined to make things right.
The main point of criticism for most players was the high pay wall that a regular player had to overcome in order to have a chance of competing, but now it’s become much easier to obtain important cards without spending any money at all.
On the other hand, the studio also reversed a very controversial decision, allowing players to mute emotes, and they’ve further built up some goodwill with their community since that update. It will be interesting to see where this game goes over the next months, as it still has a lot of potential to become a long-running mobile title.
The studio is reportedly already working on another title, as indicated by their recent job postings, so hopefully they are not planning to slow down their work on “Clash Royale” anytime soon. If nothing else, the title earns far too much to be killed off that easily at the moment, so we expect that the studio is going to commit to it for quite some more time to come.
