The changes that have been announced for the Poison spell have been slightly controversial within the community, but we’re sure that Supercell know what they’re doing. Once players see how the new spell works alongside all other spells and their respective changes, they should have a change in their attitude towards the update.
Of course, it’s normal for players to be anxious before a major update that is going to change many of their favorite features, but in the end it’s important for the developers to keep the game fresh and keep exploring new possibilities for its gameplay, instead of leaving it in the same state perpetually.
That’s exactly why “Clash of Clans” has managed to survive for so long, as the game’s developers are not afraid to take risks and they have been regularly releasing updates that change one thing or another in order to experiment with more unusual gameplay features.
Once players get used to the new changes, they will probably start adapting to the new rules by discovering more unusual strategies and combinations between the different spells. It’s the natural progression of this franchise and the anxiety before a major update is just part of the whole lifecycle of “Clash of Clans”, and for many players it’s actually one of the more fun parts of the game in general.
