Spending money on the game should come with a certain guarantee that the purchase will not become obsolete in a few weeks, and it’s probably difficult for Supercell to balance that right now.
But it will only get harder as they keep adding more to the game, so the sooner they think about addressing this issue, the better things will turn out for them in the long run.
