Meanwhile, there are rumors that Supercell could be working on a brand new game, possibly unrelated to their current IPs. The studio can easily afford this at the moment, and in fact it makes perfect sense for them to take some more serious risks now that they have their huge popularity.
They’re apparently still in the hiring phase for that mysterious new game however, so it remains to be seen exactly what they’re working on. It’s also possible that the game may never even see the light, as it could get scrapped in a prototype phase before it’s even shown to the world.
For now though, the studio has plenty of work cut out for them with “Clash of Clans”, “Clash Royale” and “Boom Beach”, so we expect to hear a lot from them over the next few months.
Hopefully if they really are planning to work on a new title, this isn’t going to affect their efforts on their current ones. The fact that they’re hiring new people to join their teams indicates that this isn’t the case, but one never knows how things might end up once the studio has calculated some details about their current status. We’re going to find out in a few months either way, as they won’t be able to keep that new game a secret forever, especially with so much attention firmly focused on them.
