One thing about the freemium mobile strategy game “Clash of Clans” is that its Finnish game developer Supercell has made it open to the creativity of its gamers.
Just recently, a “CoC” gamer, by the name of Dabolus, came up with a brand new project in the popular mobile video game, which he called as the “Clash of Clans” Troop Creator, reports Game & Guide.
As its name implies, the Troop Creator allows “Clash of Clans” players to customize their troops which may actually be officially used by Supercell later on in the game especially if the project proves to be a good addition to the strategy game.
Even if players do not have knowledge of Photoshop, they can still create their own troops for the game using the Troop Creator.
Dabolus made the announcement of his new creation at the Supercell forum where he said that his work is currently hosted on the same domain as the Clash Royale Card Maker. He plans to transfer it to another website at a later time.
“Clash of Clans” players can also upload an image of the new troop. Players, however, should not expect to see the new troop in-game.
Dabolus also invited “Clash of Clans” fans to participate in the new troop creation contest.
Supercell moderator LachnessMeownster stated on the forum that they want “Clash of Clans” players to design a new troop for the game. The concept, artwork, and statistics will be up to the player. The rules provide that the creation should contain artwork and must be original.
Livening the competition with ‘Pokemon Go’
The upcoming December updates of “Clash of Clans” is intended to liven the competition against the now very popular mobile augmented reality game “Pokemon Go” from Niantic.
Apparently, Supercell wants to redeem its game’s diminished glory in light of the arrival of “Pokemon Go” a few months ago.
So while the former is currently dominating the mobile game industry, as more people are playing all over the world, “Clash of Clans” will not go quietly into the night, notes the iTech Post.
That could happen with the upcoming December updates to “Clash of Clans” as it shall reportedly bring a brand new gameplay.
Accordingly, the upcoming updates to “CoC” shall allow players to repair their very own damaged shipwrecks. It will also enable them to earn vast resources, including gems, by rebuilding the destroyed structures.
One of the things the forthcoming event will introduce is a new battle feature. Gamers can expect more heroes and/or troops to arrive. Also, it could be the introduction of the rumored water-based infrastructure called shipwreck.
Preparing to roll out the December updates
The brand new update is also believed to center around the Red Barbarian King, a new hero that has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now.
Less than a month ago, the freemium mobile strategy game “Clash of Clans” received its Halloween updates that include Halloween-themed towers, items, and bonus events.
In less than a month’s time, Finnish game developer Supercell shall reportedly be rolling out the December updates to “Clash of Clans” which shall include Christmas-themed soldiers, other special items, and bonus events.
While Supercell has not confirmed anything about the speculated December updates to “Clash of Clans,” Redditor Chief Spencer has already posted his findings of the upcoming updates to the game.
The updates are officially not confirmed yet but since it exists in game code and assets, chances of its emergence become quite likely.
According to Spencer, “CoC” players might be up for the Barbarian King statue, which will be introduced in the update, costing 500 gems. A Red Barbarian King is also coming too. When a gamer buys a gem package, he will be given the Red Barbarian King and the Red Archer Queen.
The December update shall also include the shipyard, which will become unlockable at Town Hall 4 at the cost of 50,000 gold. Ships are likely to be included as well as new troops that can be used in the sea to battle.
