‘Clash of Clans’ Developer Says New Updates to Bring Quality-of-Life Changes to Gamers!

In terms of minutes played or spent on gaming, the statistics indicate that there has been a 37% decline, so from a previous figure of 52 minutes spent on gaming every day, it went down to 33 minutes.

Critics believe that there are many factors in the drop of the amount of time being spent on games by gamers but accordingly, new technologies and the very nature of the mobile games themselves is the culprit.

Simon Khalaf, Yahoo! senior vice president of published products, in a blog post, said that gaming is a hit-driven industry and there has not been a major new hit in the past six to nine months. This has made titles like “Clash of Clans,” King’s “Candy Crush,” and Machine Zone’s “Game of War: Fire Age” continue to dominate the top-grossing mobile gaming charts with hardly any room for a major new entrant.

However, what becomes imminent at this point is that since the game developers continue to earn more money, it only means that despite playing less this year compared to last year, gamers are now spending more money so that they would be able to play the game less and focus on other things that they have to do on a daily basis, like work and go to school.
