Remini is hoping that A&E would renew her docu-series for a second season but given that she has already gotten into the upper echelon of the Church of Scientology, chances are some of its well-placed members will do everything in their powers to make sure that the show would not get any second season on the small screen anymore, whether on A&E or elsewhere.
The actress was raised a Scientologist before leaving the Church in 2012, whose most famous member is actor Tom Cruise.
Remini also revealed her other goal by saying that somebody from the Church should be honest enough to say that what these people are saying is true.
She said that she is in talk for a new season of the show, which she described as a documentary about the abuses of Scientology.
Remini spoke very publicly about her time as a member of the Church of Scientology in her 2015 memoir “Troublemaker,” and her new show is now helping other former members tell their stories.
In the previous episode prior to the finale, it featured two former Sea Org members, Marc and Claire Headley.
Claire said in her interview that she was forced to get an abortion by the Church and that all women in Sea Org who did the same were pressured to do so as well by Scientology leaders.
In that episode, Remini was reportedly being followed and had men waiting for her at a hotel who she later claimed were linked to Scientology.
If Scientology is all it claims to be why do they lie about her? Why do they stalk her? Why do they fear her if she is telling lies? The response from Scientology tells me she speaks truth.
She allows and encourages people to find their own truth, why DOESN’T scientology?
The things Remini says don’t make me think Scientology is a cult. The way Scientology and it’s followers respond to her and other critics leave me without doubt that they ARE a harmful cult.
How amusing. The fact that everything Leah — and everyone else — reports about the Scientology criminal enterprise is 100% accurate and highly documented is something that the Scientology crook who wrote this smear “forgot” to mention. How amusing.
It might be better if Scientology admits that their “religion” is a scam, give refunds to those who have paid thousands of dollars for worthless publications, dissolve the organization, and get on with their lives. When you have a good scam going, it’s hard to give it up. It is Mr. Miscaviage and his minions who need to get on with their lives, not her. It is she who has a successful TV piece that people are interested in. They are the losers, not her.
