Ever since Christiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk broke up around the end of 2014, the two have been relatively quiet about their separation, and have preferred to keep their issues to themselves. While we did get some interesting bits of information about the couple’s relationship, they managed to keep it a secret from everyone for the most part, and we didn’t really find out how much their lives have been affected by the split.
Recently though, it’s been becoming apparent that their separation has been getting more and more troublesome, and now Ronaldo’s own sister Elma Aveiro has joined the discussions, claiming that she sees Irina Shayk as equivalent to death itself. Apparently, she hasn’t been taking the breakup very well, and she’s been affected by it a bit more deeply than perhaps even Ronaldo and Shayk themselves.
The comment was a bit vague, however, as it’s not clear if it implied that Shayk is death herself, or if her departure from the family life of Ronaldo has had a similar impact to those around the celebrity. It is pretty clear that Elma Aveiro saw this relationship as something special while it was still going, for good or worse.
Elma also stated that so far, her brother has been managing to cope with the effects of the breakup just fine, and has been having no trouble adjusting to his new life as a single man. According to Elma, so far he’s perfectly fine without a woman by his side, and he can handle himself for the time being.
There have been rumors that Ronaldo is already eyeing a new relationship, but those rumors haven’t been able to point out who that might be, while Ronaldo himself hasn’t commented on the situation in any way. His sister also hasn’t given any hints that she might know who Ronaldo is interested in, but it’s obvious that the player can easily choose from any number of women as soon as he’s ready to get back into the dating game.
Elma also went on to say that there is absolutely no chance that the two will get back together at this point, and their relationship is totally over. She described the separation as “finished and ready”, and said that it’s now time for both of them to move on and get on with their lives.
Members of the press have been trying to get in touch with Ronaldo and Shayk for a comment on the situation, but both of them have continued their silence and have refused to speak up about the comments made by Elma Aveiro. It’s pretty much understandable on both sides too – for Ronaldo, it’s a member of his family, while Shayk prefers to not discuss the relationship.
