The show has been developing actively not just on the professional front for some of its characters, but also on a more personal side, as the writers have been building some strong relationships and working hard to expand on them and make them an even more interesting part of the plot.
Fans have been excited about these developments in particular, as it’s not rare that police procedurals tend to get the romantic aspects of their plots quite wrong, often because they’re inserted just for the sake of it and don’t really fit in with the overall style of the show.
Not here though – “Chicago PD” seems to be quite tastefully written in this regard so far, even though there have been some minor complaints from fans about certain episodes. But currently, a lot is coming up.
Most importantly, Halstead and Lindsay are going to advance their relationship soon, and many fans have been looking forward to that moment. But they’re going to have to wait a little before that happens, and until then, there’s plenty of police drama to enjoy on all other sides of the plot. The writers have definitely been keeping up with their work in this regard as well, and fans are quite happy.
