Chicago PD Season 3 Episode 16 Will Take on A Different Approach Compared to Other Episodes, And More!

NBC’s police procedural drama “Chicago PD” has seen some very strong character-based episodes during its current third season, but the network is creating all the hype in the upcoming episode.

According to Cartermatt, the show’s 16th episode titled “The Cases That Need To Be Solved” is going to go in a rather different direction compared to past episodes.

Fans enjoyed seeing plenty of crossover episodes this season, but writers and producers are very much describing the next episode to be the best one in the series yet.

Specifically, the episode will be tackling some of the most pressing issues that society is dealing with.

Reports say that there will be elements of racial tension in the upcoming episode as well as the involvement of the Black Lives Matter Movement.

NBC has already released the official synopsis for the episode and it hints that the Chicago Police Department will turn to an executed boy’s parents to find out more information about their dead son.

Upon investigation, they learn that the boy’s father has a criminal background and was part of a local gang.

The synopsis adds that in honor of the young victim, Amy Morton’s Platt, Jon Seda’s Antonio, Roman, played by Brian Geraghty, Burgess, played by Marina Squerciati, and a number of other Chicago PD officers and members of the community come together for a candlelight vigil.

Fans are also going to see the police struggle to keep the community on their side rather than have this act divide the city altogether.

Sophia Bush’ Lindsay and Jesse Lee Soffer’s Halstead speak to the victim’s mother after another shooting in gang territory to find out if the crimes are related.

Guest star Sam Hunt will portray Mouse and he will be working with Lindsay and Halstead to find a connection with the crimes in the gang territory.

NBC is promoting the series as one of the most anticipated episodes of the season so far and fans are expecting that the February 24 episode will be powerful.

Some reports note that one of the episode’s biggest challenges will be how to tie up loose ends in a span of one hour.

As for the most recent episode, it proved to be a good episode for Trudy and Roman and their comedic banters aside from the drug trafficking case the team worked on.

It opened with Burgess and Roman working on a sobriety checkpoint and Elias Koteas’ Al and Antonio finding a duffel bag full of heroin under the flooring in the back of the SUV.

They arrest the driver, but it was clear that someone put him up to trafficking the heroin into Canada.

Lindsay and Burgess talk to the driver’s wife and daughter and are shocked that the driver, Ames, is capable of doing such.

Al and Antonio do some more digging and end up with a guy who brought the car to Ames. When they reached the address, there was a body of a man in one room and a child in another

They found out that the man, named Zacarian, was the guy who put the trap in the car and the 9-year-old boy was selling door-to-door candy who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Zacarian was burned alive so Lindsay and Burgess paid a visit to the woman he was seeing. She gives them a name, Gregor Turo. LaRoyce Hawkins’ Atwater and Patrick John Flueger’s Ruzek pay Turo a visit.

Unfortunately, they weren’t able to squeeze anything out of him as he ran for his life and when he ends up on a ledge with a three story drop, he jumped and killed himself.

Jason Beghe’s Voight and Antonio finds another connection, Ames’ former cellmate Peter whom they visit to find some answers once and for all.
