We’ve been hearing some rumors about “Chicago Fire” for a while now, claiming that Casey and Dawson will be given a lot more attention as the two are about to get married. And while there have been official reports confirming that the wedding of the two characters is indeed coming up, it also seems like fans are going to have to wait a little before they actually see it.
While the event will take place at some point during season 5, we don’t know exactly when that will be, nor what kinds of circumstances the wedding will have. It should be a happy event, obviously, but we also wouldn’t put it past the show’s writers to introduce a more dramatic, unexpected development to throw off their fans.
At least Casey is going to be given some extra exposure in the new season, as there has been a confirmation for an episode that will focus entirely on him. That should satisfy the cravings of some fans who’ve wanted to see more of the character for a while, but at the same time it doesn’t say anything about the status of his upcoming wedding.
Things also developed in a bit of a strange way for both Casey and Dawson towards the end of season 4, and the writers will first have to tie up those loose ends before they can continue with bringing the two closer together.
Some fans even suspect that there might be a negative development between the two before they finally tie the knot, as the writers of this show do have a tendency to play games with their fans from time to time.
Casey has made his decision and now he’ll have to go forward with it, so the episode that will focus on his character could be about some internal struggles that he’s having. It’s not hard to imagine him in a conflicted situation, trying to figure out if he is moving in the right direction. But it’s also possible that his episode will be a more positive, cheery one.
One of the things we know about the Casey episode is that it will show the character in a difficult situation, forced to use his wits to survive. He will also apparently take a “lone wolf” approach to the whole event, and we will see exactly how he deals with things by himself. This could be an interesting way for the writers to draw parallels to his own personal story.
Other than that, we’ve been hearing some rumors that some characters of the show might find themselves entangled in newly developed romantic situations, and this definitely sounds like an appropriate way for “Chicago Fire” to move forward.
Romance has always been an element in this show, and there are plenty of combinations left to explore too, so we expect the new season to actually be quite interesting in this regard, and possibly show some characters in a new light. Hopefully there won’t be any unnecessary drama between Casey and Dawson caused by other people.
In addition, there will apparently be a crossover between the show and “Chicago P.D.”, in a move that many fans seemed happy about. There is certainly a lot of potential for some interesting moments between characters of both shows, and we expect that this could play into the upcoming new romantic developments as well.
