Nearly every woman likes Beyonce. Now, some celebrities are now joining the ‘Beyonce bandwagon’ after Queen Bey announced late last month on Instagram that she is currently pregnant with twins, her second and third child by husband Jay-Z.
Subsequently, Nicki Minaj also posted on Instagram a picture of herself with a baby bump. But Nicki’s post was a mere prank and the image she teased was merely photoshopped.
A few days later, it was the turn of comedienne Chelsea Peretti of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” comedy TV series to announce that she is pregnant with her first child by husband, comedian Jordan Peele.
Just like what Beyonce and Nicki Minaj did, Chelsea Peretti shared an Instagram photo of her baby bump inside a glittering mirror art installation, details People.
Chelsea captioned her selfie post by saying ‘Beyonce schmonce,’ which is obviously a page in the book of Beyonce’s now iconic pregnancy announcement on Instagram, which went on to become the world’s most liked photo on Instagram with nearly 10 million likes and is officially a record holder in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Had to elope to get married?
The actress and her “Key and Peele” husband have been together for over three years. In April last year, Peele revealed that he and Peretti had eloped during an appearance on the talk show, “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
Peele said that he is married to actress Chelsea Peretti during the interview wherein he and comedy partner Keegan-Michael Key shared trivia about each other to help people tell them apart.
For his part, Key said on the same talk show that he is not married to actress Chelsea Peretti but they are just dating. It was obviously a joke but it was enough to elicit a dirty look from Jordan Peele, which was also made in jest.
Peretti confirmed the news of their elopement on Instagram shortly after her husband’s appearance, sharing a shot of the couple’s adorable dog decked out in a Hawaiian shirt. She captioned her post by saying that they did elope a bit ago and that their only witness was the little guy with them, referring to the canine.
A smart and hilarious baby
Given that comedy runs in the veins of both the mother and father, critics are saying that the baby of Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti is going to be a smart and hilarious baby.
Peretti made the announcement on social media on February 4 by posting two Instagram selfies with a visibly pregnant profile at the Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrored Room exhibit in Los Angeles.
No one can resist a selfie especially in a location such as the Infinity Mirrored Rooms or more like a mirror maze, details the NY Magazine.
The baby is to be the first child for Peretti and Jordan Peele.
Chelsea Peretti is best known for portraying Gina Linetti on the Fox comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Paste ranked her Twitter account #75 on the “The 75 Best Twitter Accounts of 2014.”
The daughter of an Italian American father and a Jewish mother, Chelsea Peretti was born and raised in Oakland, California. Her older brother is internet entrepreneur Jonah Peretti, who founded BuzzFeed and co-founded The Huffington Post.
Peretti attended The College Preparatory School in Oakland. She moved to New York City in 1996 to attend Barnard College and graduated in 2000.
She attended elementary school with her “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” co-star Andy Samberg and junior high school with comedian Moshe Kasher.
