CES 2017 Sees Some Interesting Devices; ZTE Gives Tough Competition To Honor. Self-Driving Cars Get All The Attention!

According to GSM Arena, the event didn’t see major announcements. When it comes to the mobile companies, Honor announced the 6X. However, the pricing didn’t make the consumers happy since they feel that a smartphone with such basic features shouldn’t be this costly.

Honor had announced the 6X back in October, and it mentioned that the phone would be out in the global market. Honor brought out its first US device in the 2016 CES. Honor 5X was priced at $199 and came packed with features that were unthinkable at that price range.

Honor 6X is a reworked 5X. The company used the HiSilicon Kirin 655 CPU instead of the reliable Qualcomm Snapdragons. The phone will also pack in a dual camera. The first camera will be of 12 MP and the second 2 MP one will have a depth sensor

ZTE looks to dethrone the Honor 6X with two of their devices, one of which was crowdsourced. After the unprecedented success of the ZTE Blade, the Chinese company is planning on matching the Honor 6X with the ZTE Blade V8 Pro, which has a 13 MP dual camera. It will also have a fingerprint scanner and will have an octa-core Qualcomm CPU.
