‘Castle’ Season 8 Would Not Have a Seven-Year Time Jump if Kate Beckett-Less Season 9 Push Through!

However, all those rumors about a Season 9 of “Castle” appear to be done and over with as the final DVD set of “Castle” up to Season 8 that would be released officially on August 23 shall no longer feature the alternate ending of the TV series.

There have been speculations that the DVD of the complete eighth season of “Castle” shall include the cliffhanger ending that was to close Season 8 in the event of a renewal, notes TV Line.

While some are saying that original ending simply did not feature the flash-forward, there were other subtle differences but those were still not enough to merit inclusion in the DVD set, which would only confuse fans of the TV series.

In an interview during the recent San Diego ComicCon, Nathan Fillion has come to accept the reality that he would finally come to the first Monday after the event no longer working on the production of “Castle.”

He said that Season 8 of “Castle” made a proper send-off for a series that has been part of the lives of many of its fans. He explained that he has worked with amazing people that he loves so very, very much and he would really miss them dearly, cites TV Line in another report.

Fillion also confirmed that the Beckett-less Season 9, had there been one, would have picked up after a meaningful time jump but not the seven-year time jump shown on May 16.
