‘Castle’ Season 8 to See Rick and Kate Getting the ‘Love Boat’ Experience in the Show’s First Half Finale!

Rick said that the separation thing is getting old as if echoing the sentiments of the millions of fans of “Castle,” which he said during the episode 6 of the show.

Episode 6, which aired on November 9, had the title “Cool Boys” where Rick was left alone to find a new partner for the crime of the week. He found a partner in returning Detective David Slaughter, played by guest star Adam Baldwin.

Beckett was not around during the episode for an undisclosed reason. But it was mentioned that she was working on her secret project case.

Detective Slaughter last appeared in Season 4 of “Castle” as a rough and reckless cop who Rick had the chance to work in an episode titled “Headhunters.” He also works with a network of shady contacts to take down gangs.

Slaughter takes in Castle as a partner to help him in tracking down the criminals responsible for a seemingly impossible heist at a big office building. While he was hesitant at first to team up again with the rough cop, but the lure of having a great writing material really appealed to him. He, however, set a condition that Slaughter should not hurt anyone during their investigation, to which the latter agreed.

  1. “What will happen to the relationship after Rick and Kate have gotten together again.” Interesting question considering that the show runners have been quoted several times saying that there will be no divorce and that, because of the split (hiatus), their marriage will be made stronger. They have already said, too, that they have a deep love for each other and they realize that it is what makes the show a success and they would not damage the relationship.

  2. Nathan Fillion is scheduled to appear on Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC on 11/30/2015. It would be nice if everyone would furnish Carson some points of interest, questions, etc to see if he will use them. Of course it does not mean that Carson will ask Nathan nor that Nathan will give straight answers.
