Summer Glau and Nathan Fillion used to co-star in “Firefly” so the former’s guesting on “Castle would be a reunion of sort for the two. Other “Firefly” alums who previously guested on “Castle” included Adam Baldwin and Gina Torres.
Glau will play a private detective who will go head to head with Richard Castle.
Nick Tarabay will appear in episode 11 and he will play a Russian Diplomatic Security Service agent named Vasily Zhirov, following the death of a Russian national.
The episode actually draws inspiration from the culture-clash comedy film “Red Heat” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Belushi.
It shall also be the same episode where Ellen Woglom will appear in Castle where she will play a cadet mentored by Kate Beckett.
The second half of Season 8 of “Castle” shall also focus on Castle’s missing time during the past season.
It was actually co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter who confirmed that they will conclude the Castle going missing story arc in one or two episodes of the second half of Season 8.
It can be recalled that Rick has gone missing right before he was to get married to Becket during the Season 6 finale. While some time was devoted to where he went during Season 7, the show never fully explained exactly who was behind his disappearance.
Witness for the Prosecution was a diamond among the coal of this season. The twists and turns were in the murder and its solution as opposed to being in the private life of Caskett. Beckett and Castle were together both publically and privately. There were brief scenes of Martha and Alexis. Ryan and Espisito were actively involved. Overall a very good episode that it and others like it will attract both old and new viewer alike. More episodes like this and we can look forward to a season 9. Unfortunately the above article shows a continuance of the together in private apart in public farce that will have to wait until 8×16 when Beckett moves back in with Castle.
